Free 1GB from FNB, free sign up, no contract

All First National Bank (FNB) Personal Cheque Account clients can receive up to 1GB of free data every month as of 1 August 2010 until at least 31 July 2011 - free bandwidth depends on the type of FNB cheque account the client has.

Even more reason to open a FNB bank account (if you don't have one already)!

Data will expire at midnight on the day preceding allocation (of the next month's free allocation)

Also, (since Sept 2009): FREE Twitter and Facebook (and all FNB web sites) between 19h00 to 23h00: https://www.fnbconnect.co.za/promo_free.shtml

Once the 1GB runs out, then the out of bundle rates are: 6.9c per MB = R71 per GB... which is a lot more than GConnect's R38/GB: https://gconnect.wirelessg.co.za/pricing.aspx

So, what's the catch? If there is one - I'll let you know as soon as I find out ;)

I'm an FNB client and I just signed for free.
